Odex Drilling Method

This is a drilling method utilizing special tooling that allows the drill casing(sleeving) to be advanced at the same time as the drill string to stop the well side walls collapsing until solid and stable formation has been reached. Thereafter, normal DTH (down the hole) drilling can commence. This method is only used when absolutely necessary as it is a costly drilling method due to high steel, diesel and tooling prices. This is a slow process and time-consuming.
