Borehole Drilling
Water Well Drilling
(Borehole Drilling)
Well drilling is the process of drilling a hole in the ground for the extraction of a natural resource such as ground water. A drilled well consists of a hole bored (a borehole) into the ground, with the upper part or the entire depth of the well being lined with casing. Drilling is most typically conducted with a portable drilling machine brought to the site to construct the borehole. Various methods are used to advance the borehole to the necessary depth, and to remove formation material by compressed air to the top of the well.
The drilling process typically starts with the siting or location where the well is too be drilled. This is to ensure the best possible chance for a successful borehole. Several methods are used to determine this location. Global Drilling Africa works with leading companies with the latest equipment to give our clients the best locations available.
The benefits on securing your own water resource in the current climate, with high water prices, water supply problems, pollutants, excessive chlorine and fluoride levels from the main supply are endless. The other advantage to drilling a water well is that it increases your property value.
